i've been using Firefox/Firebird/Phoenix as my primary web browser now for over a year, and have never looked back. it does everything IE does, plus a metric fuck ton more - through built in features, extensions, and themes.

also, Yahoo! has upgraded its free e-mail service to have 100 megs of storage, and its paid accounts to 2 Gigs of storage, obviously trying to down play Google's 1 Gig service.
i just got an invite from someone already using the Gmail service, and got myself a Gmail account now!

you can visit HERE to read a bit about Gmail. it's basically an e-mail service provided by Google that offers 1 Gigabyte of e-mail storage (compared to just a few megs from services like Hotmail or Yahoo).
the Gmail service is in a closed testing state right now, so you can only get an account by first receiving an invitation from someone who already has an account.
