promising new p2p software

version 0.21 of the new eXeem software was just released. its a p2p network application based on the greatness of BitTorrent.

eXeem kinda works like Kazaa. you connect to a network and search files. Kazaa never checked or verified files, so you'd end up with a lot of corrupted files. since its based on bittorrent, files found with eXeem pass a hash check to verify they are good.

while its still new, and the network is small, its growing fast.

MSN Messenger 6.2 patch

i like to fuck with pre-compiled stuff in Windows and alter how things work. there are times when I run a program and find that something is spelled wrong, or an image doesnt align correctly - and i know i can fix it. i've used the program called Resource Hacker a lot on my system, changing things all over.

one of the programs that has bothered me recently is MSN Messenger 6.x, running with Messenger Plus!. there are so many menu items, that when you resize the program window to a decent size, the Menu wraps around to two lines.

using Resource Hacker, i was able to get my MSN Messenger 6.2 window to look like this:

(keep in mind that i'm also using Messenger Plus!, which removes the ads).

i've uploaded the modified DLL that changes the menu layout, and currently have two versions of the DLL, for MSN Messenger 6.2.0133 and 6.2.0137 available.

you can get a patched DLL here
