I had Windows 2000 RC2 installed for about an hour last night before going nuts trying to fix one problem after another with it (driver related). I promptly re-installed Windows 98 to get functionality back in my system. I should be re-installing Windows 2000 again tonight (into a seperate directory from my current install of Windows, so I can still use Windows 98) since I now have some better video drivers and a better understanding on how to install current drivers.
On a side note, I will be updating my Banshee page soon with some updated Windows 95/98, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000 drivers. The drivers released by 3dfx recently were CRAP. I will be making new drivers for Windows 95, 98, and 2000 with updated Glide and OpenGL files from the recent reference driver release - but with older 2D drivers that are more stable than what 3dfx included in its newest reference drivers. The NT4 drivers I should have up will be pretty much unchanged from 3dfx's NT4 reference drivers, but will have my updated INF file in them to improve stability (several people get scrambled or other messed up graphics in NT4 with 3dfx's reference drivers, including me).
No ETA as to when the new drivers will be up.

I have updated some pages, and I'll work a little more on others.

3dfx has FINALLY released new Voodoo Banshee drivers. You can get these at 3dfx Gamers. They seem to be as good as my 8-18 drivers. :) I have noticed some fixed issues with 2D more than anything over previous drivers. These drivers contain an updated OpenGL ICD also. This also basically means I now have nothing to offer in the Banshee driver area (although I can still try to improve Monster Fusion drivers, although that will be very difficult unless Diamond actually supports one of their products and makes new drivers for it themselves. Which is about as likely as Gore becoming president.)

Asheron's Call ended beta on the 24th of this month, and should be released to stores within the next few weeks. I already pre-ordered my copy, and have two free months to see what it's like. I might put up an Asheron's Call web page with my character stuff if I find the game to be good. Of course I will still play EverQuest.

I am situated at my new house... Me and my girlfriend have the whole place to ourselves.. ;)

I know, I suck. No updates. Nothing to talk about really. Still no new Voodoo Banshee drivers from 3dfx. I haven't messed with drivers in a while (I still use my 8-18 drivers.) I just mainly play EverQuest.
I haven't heard any new news anywhere. Nothing on Netscape 5, nothing on Linux... I did get a Dreamcast in September, but even messing with that gets old (and then I just play EverQuest some more).

The only thing really new is that over the past few weeks, me and my girlfriend have been trying to get a place of our own. We found a place and should be moving in next week. I will try to have my webcam on more then to show off the place. We are going to paint it and try to fix up the yard some.

i didn't really have an update for September 1999 for some reason.

i did get a Sega Dreamcast in September, so i guess that took up most of my time. :)
