i dont have cable or satellite. i think the last time i had cable was in the 1990s.
every now and then, i do get to watch cable and/or satellite at a friend or relative's house.
stuff on cable for the most part doesn't hold my interest. i like watching news programs (Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, etc). TechTV use to be cool, with all their video game shows and stuff, but after the merger with G4, it seems like everytime i turn it on, all they are showing is more anime or another episode of "The Man Show".
something i saw recently really caught my attention. it was called "Korgoth of Barbaria". it is an ultra-violent cartoon shown on "adult swim". while flipping through channels one night, a "TV-MA" warning caught my attention. what followed was some weird humor, interesting animation, and over the top gore and violence. what was also there, was an actually plot and story to the show.
from Wikipedia:
"Korgoth of Barbaria is an American animated television series created by Aaron Springer, the storyboard artist of SpongeBob SquarePants. The pilot episode first aired in the United States on June 3, 2006 at 12:30 AM (EST) on Adult Swim. On June 18th, Adult Swim ran a bumper announcing Korgoth was officially picked up as a series."
from IMDB:
"Have you ever been to an animation film festival? Imagine one of the funniest of the violent independent animations you've seen, fill it full of gag humor like you might see on Futurama, apply a mini-epic plot, add copious amounts of heavy metal, and you've got Korgoth of Barbaria."
