Some time ago, I made a post about a new browser called “Flock”.
Flock is a “social browser” built on Firefox. It has a new/different interface than Firefox, and several integrated buttons and shortcuts to many popular social and “Web 2.0″ sites such as Blogger, Flickr, Facebook, YouTube, and del.icio.us.
Flock has been in beta for a long time (I first posted about it over 2 years ago), but it has now reached a “final” state.

someone recently pointed out an anti-Flock web site to me.
Flock is a new browser based on Firefox. it has things built in though like support for posting to various blog sites.
while it may make it easier for anyone to become part of the world of blogging, some people dont really think its that great of a program.
first off, the browser itself is a fork of Firefox. instead of building extensions to improve Firefox, they are instead trying to make their work totally seperate. the functionality of their browser only exists in their browser, and it cant be used as a replacement to Firefox because it will be based on older code along with not being compatible with all Firefox extensions or most Themes.
the second issue with Flock that some people have is that it would make things too easy for anyone to start posting stuff. i guess some feel that would cheapen the internet in some way.

a new web browser has recently been released.
it’s called Flock, and its based on Firefox.
it’s not just another Firefox skin or Gecko based browser (the Firefox HTML rendering engine) – it’s a whole new browsing experience for those who like taking part in online communities.
first off, it’s Bookmark system has been replaced with the online bookmark site del.icio.us. So everytime you bookmark a site while using the browser, the link is shared and made public. that also means your bookmarks are stored remotely, so they can be viewed from any computer on the internet.
second, it has built in support for multiple blog sites. WordPress and Blogger are some of the common sites Flock supports. so while browsing the net with Flock, you can easily post to your blog.
since its based on Firefox, Flock has the ability to be improved through its Extension system.
