XdN Tweaker for Vista
« on: Jun 22, 2007, 16:22 »
I posted version 0.8.5.3 of my XdN Tweaker, which only works on Vista.
(it actually crashes on anything older. i need to fix that).

I test the program on Vista. since i don't know anyone else who uses Vista, it's hard to get some testing done for the program.

0.8.6.0 is out now.

like older versions, its one EXE for XP/2k3/Vista.

however, depending on what OS it detects, it will *hide* the items that don't work on that OS.

load it up under Vista, and the Classic Explorer search and Win2k3 Shutdown dialog items disappear off the menu.

load it up under XP or 2k3, and the Vista UAC and 3rd set of Files/Folders options disappears off the menu.

To anyone that stumbles across this forum, if you use Vista you will be very pleased with XDN Tweaker. It corrects several things that you can't believe MS were daft enough to release in a mature OS.
Before I found this program I was ready to ditch Vista and go back to XP.
David.

Even though I'm not using Vista right now, I really appreciate that Xdn tweaker is around and makes Vista not totally hellish.
